  • Question: What is the pinout on the connector?

    Answer: The pin out is 1) Common, 2) key#1, 3) Key#2, 4) key#3, 4) and Key#4. If a key is pressed common is connected to that key's line. Key 3 pressed will connect pin 4 to pin 1. A common way to read the keyboard is to connect common to ground, and connect the other 4 wires to digital I/O input pins with pull up resistors (high when disconnected and low when grounded).
