Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What are Catchmaster Gluee Louee Rat Extra Large Traps?
Answer: Catchmaster Gluee Louee Rat Extra Large Traps are heavy-duty adhesive traps designed to capture rats and mice effectively. These traps come pre-scented to attract rodents and are specially designed for indoor use. The extra-large size provides a larger surface area ensuring higher capture rates. Ideal for homes, these traps can be placed in areas where you've noticed rodent activity for optimal results. -
Question:
How do these glue traps work?
Answer: The Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps utilize a strong adhesive that captures rodents when they come into contact with the glue surface. Once a rodent steps onto the trap, it becomes stuck and unable to escape. Since they are pre-scented, these traps attract mice and rats effectively, making them a reliable choice for rodent control inside your home. -
Question:
Are these traps safe to use around pets and children?
Answer: While Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps are designed to be safe, care should be taken when using any pest control products around pets and children. Place traps in areas that are inaccessible to pets and small children, such as behind appliances or in basements. The adhesive is non-toxic, so accidental contact is less likely to result in harm, but monitoring usage is key. -
Question:
Where should I place the glue traps for best results?
Answer: To achieve the best results with Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps, position them in locations where you've observed signs of rodent activity, such as droppings, gnaw marks, or nesting materials. Ideal spots include along walls, behind furniture, and near entry points. Avoid placing them in open areas where rodents are less likely to venture. Proper placement significantly increases the chances of capture. -
Question:
How long do these glue traps remain effective?
Answer: The effectiveness of Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps can vary based on environmental conditions. Typically, these heavy-duty traps retain their adhesive properties for an extended period. However, factors like humidity and dust can influence the glue's effectiveness. For optimal performance, inspect and replace traps regularly to ensure continued capture capabilities. -
Question:
Can I use these traps outdoors?
Answer: Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps are designed specifically for indoor use. While they may work outdoors in sheltered areas, exposure to elements like rain and wind can diminish their effectiveness. For outdoor rodent control, consider using traps specifically formulated for exterior use to ensure proper function and capture rates. -
Question:
How do I dispose of a trap once it has caught a rodent?
Answer: Once a Catchmaster Gluee Louee trap has captured a rodent, it's important to dispose of it properly. Handle the trap carefully to avoid direct contact with the rodent. Seal the trap in a plastic bag, and then discard it in an outdoor trash receptacle. Always wash your hands thoroughly afterward and consider wearing gloves for additional safety. -
Question:
What sets these traps apart from traditional snap traps?
Answer: Catchmaster Gluee Louee traps differ from traditional snap traps as they do not require mechanical parts and are easier to set up. Their adhesive surface captures rodents without causing noise, making them ideal for discreet rodent control. Additionally, the pre-scented feature enhances their appeal to rodents, increasing the likelihood of capture compared to standard traps. -
Question:
How many traps come in a pack?
Answer: The Catchmaster Gluee Louee product comes in a convenient pack of 30 extra-large traps. This bulk packaging allows you to strategically place multiple traps around your home to effectively target rodent activity. Having several traps on hand ensures that you are well-equipped to address infestations promptly, maximizing your rodent control efforts. -

Catchmaster Traps 30R Editorial Review
Catchmaster Heavy Duty Rat, Mouse, Rodent, and Snake Glue Boards are designed to trap and control various pests. These non-toxic glue boards are a safe option to place anywhere in the house without worrying about pets' safety. The stack of glue boards contains 30 traps in total, with each board measuring approximately 12.25 x 6.25 x 4 inches. The adhesive is strong enough to catch rodents, snakes, and bugs, but some customers report that birds can also get caught by their wings. Customers have mixed opinions regarding the effectiveness of these glue boards. While some have found them to be the best on the market, others have not seen any results. Some customers noted that the rats could escape from these traps. However, one customer reported scaring the rats away for the rest of the season due to the injury. Another customer complained that the mice don't stick to the glue board but instead, poop on them. In terms of scent, some customers claimed that the glue boards smelled like peanut butter, while others reported no particular scent.
