The Powermatic 209HH-0001 Planer is a high-quality planer that features a segmented cutterhead for smooth and quiet operation. Despite the good quality, upon uncrating, there was an issue with the leaking oil. However, after getting corrected, the planer performs well on a range of woods, including red oak, white oak, walnut, and cherry. Customers love its quiet operation and its cut quality, but snipe remains an issue for some. The planer comes with a built-in mobile base and is moderately priced.
