- Fypon offers a diverse assortment of decorative, non-venting and functional, venting louvers to complement most architectural home styles.
- Functional louvers are designed to provide additional ventilation, with angled slats and screening to help protect interiors from the elements
- If you are ordering a functional louver, you should order a louver that is approximately 2" larger than your rough opening on all sides. This will allow you to attach the louver to the substrate through the brickmould edge. Functional louvers are slatted for air flow with a screen on the back. Note: Slats are not operable.
- Fypon polyurethane products are factory primed. Depending on product location, always use interior/exterior-grade, PUR compatible adhesives, sealants, and fillers when installing Fypon products. Consult the manufacturer’s recommendations for your particular climate and the substrate you are installing to. - Fypon polyurethane products can be cut and trimmed with standard woodworking tools, including table saws, circular saws, jig saws, band saws and miter saws. Trimming product will remove the smooth finish and create an exposed polyurethane edge. This edge must be primed to protect the exposed polyurethane. Fypon polyurethane products must be finished with paint or stain within 90 days of installation to protect the product from discoloration from the sun.
