The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens is a good value for money option. It works on all full-frame Canon cameras and is comparable in quality to higher-end lenses such as the Sigma 8mm at a third of the price. However, it is important to note that wider doesn't always mean better, and that "get it all in frame" shots are not always desirable. The lens offers a functional equivalent to the Opteka 6.5mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens, with a marginal difference of 1.5mm that would be barely noticeable in side-by-side comparison. The HD model offers no significant improvement in its specs, and the image quality is highly dependent on the user's skills. Some customers had issues with quality control or image sharpness, while others had regrets about the lack of autofocus and aperture control. However, the majority enjoyed the solid build quality and high-quality optics for the price, and highly recommended using the infinity focus unless looking to focus in really close and blur the background.
